Hey, Synergist!
Full week…working to advance Health Maker Lab!
Continued the conversation with a regional DigiFab-Products VAR (Value-Added Reseller). Seeking to make them our initial hardware/software Sponsor/Donor.
Visited 1776 NYC—a new (two-months old) tech-based incubator—at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. 1776 is located in the same suite that spawned New Lab—now across the street in its fabulous rehab of Bldg 128. Considering joining 1776 as a development base for our Health Maker Lab.
Attended John Lieberman’s latest NYC MedTech event in midtown Manhattan. Met with members of the Leipzig, Germany MedTech Trade Mission—whose players spoke at the affair. Lovely folks with very intriguing products…
Joined in the news conference at BioBAT / NY Science & Technology Center at the Brooklyn Army Terminal—celebrating the Office of the Borough President Eric Adam’s awarding of $1 million to the facility.
Learned possible ways to work with Kickstarter at an evening event at New Lab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The world’s premier crowdfunder—hey, Brooklyn-based!—is now helping support maker spaces. Hmm.

Please plan to attend our next Health Maker Lab meet on 25 January 2017 at CityScience. Working ways to bridge the Healthcare Gap AND we’ll discuss the options…
Looking forward: moving ahead!

Greetings, Synergist!
We’re taking the Holidays “off” this Season. No Meetup Event until 25 January. Please mark your calendar for that date in the New Year.
Life—this time of Year—is full enough. (AND, then there is the added burden of Trump-Fraught Times…and the implications of HyperRight Government…being “Frankenstein’d” together before our very eyes…truly monstrous, alas…)
Exact details of our program for the evening of 25 January are not yet finalized. (We’ll bring you up to speed as we gather the rich assets of our event.) BUT, the new book by NYC MD/PhD Probhjot Singh, Dying & Living in the Neighborhood, A Street-Level View of America’s Healthcare Promise…will certainly inform our panel discussion. In both cogent topics and incisive speakers we’re recruiting now.
Specifically around what I call the Community/Clinic Healthcare “Gap.” This is the barren and barrier-raising distance between Healthcare providers (in the Hospital or Clinic) and would-be patients (in challenged Ultra-Urban communities). These are the poorly-informed, resource-bereft and med-complexity overloaded chronically ill. The under-served people cut-off by the Healthcare Gap. And, thus—in our broken Healthcare system—doomed to a foreshortened life.
At Health Maker Lab, we’re working to delineate, design and deploy Gap Bridgers. Come join in this key effort by joining our next Meetup’s audience.
(So, circle 25 January on your Calendar. RSVP and donate here to join-in our Meetup—and interact with all from your “seat” at this event.)
Looking forward: moving ahead!
