3D Printing Promises to Help Re-Industrialize Gotham with “Made in USA” 3DP’d Products

NExT Conference Showcases “…The Renewal of the American Maker” at Northside Fest in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

While exhibiting our NYC3DP startup for the first time at the NExT Conference & Expo (Northside Entrepreneurship & Technology) on 13 and 14 June, I was able to video (HERE) one of the panels with the most import for 3DPers.

This “Made In USA” discussion was all about “reshoring” the industrial production of American products for the American market by American manufacturers.

The exchange included panelist Duann Scott, Designer Evangelist at Shapeways. This is the 3DP startup that serves as a 3D-Printing service bureau—or 3DP as a Service (3DPaaS). Shapeways is one of the prominent/dominant 3D-Printing startups (MakerBot is another) that has helped reestablish American Makers and the mark “Made In USA!” from here in New York City.
